What our house removal service covers

Our house removal service covers loading, transporting and unloading the furniture, boxes and belongings agreed in your quotation.

You can prepare and pack your belongings yourself, or ask us about full or partial packing assistance. We’ll confirm the services included in your quotation so you know what you are booking.

Please discuss any unusually heavy, fragile or valuable items with us beforehand. Furniture dismantling, reassembly and appliance disconnection are not automatically included and must be discussed and agreed in advance.

How your move works

1. Tell us about your move

Contact us with your collection and delivery postcodes, preferred moving date and property size.

Tell us about the main items being moved, any packing help you need, and access at both addresses. Stairs, lifts, narrow entrances, parking restrictions and long distances between the property and the van can all affect the work involved.

If your moving date is not confirmed, you can still enquire just let us know.

2. Receive and review your quotation

We’ll use the information you provide to assess your move. We may ask for further details or photographs to understand the size of the job and any access difficulties.

Check your quotation carefully, including the items and services covered. Tell us if anything changes, such as additional furniture, a different address or new access restrictions, so we can confirm whether the arrangements or price need updating.

3. Confirm your booking

Once you’re ready, contact us to confirm availability and complete the booking arrangements.

A quotation alone does not reserve your moving date. Wait for our written booking confirmation, and check the agreed payment arrangements and Terms and Conditions.

4. Prepare for moving day

Complete the packing you have agreed to do yourself, label your boxes and keep access routes clear.

We’ll confirm the planned arrival arrangements with you. Make sure we have a telephone number where we can reach you on the day, and tell us about any changes to keys, parking or access.

5. Collection and loading

When the team arrives, walk through the property with us. Point out anything fragile, anything requiring particular attention and anything that must stay behind.

Keep your travel bags and personal essentials clearly separate from the removal load. Before leaving, check cupboards, rooms and storage areas to make sure nothing agreed for removal has been overlooked.

6. Delivery to your new home

You or your authorised representative should be available to provide access and explain where items need to go. Clearly labelled boxes make this easier.

Before the team leaves, check that the agreed belongings have been unloaded and raise any immediate concerns. If you later discover a problem, contact us promptly and refer to the claims procedure in our Terms and Conditions.

  • Check parking arrangements at both properties, including any permissions needed.

One to two weeks before your move

  • Use sturdy boxes and avoid making them too heavy.

  • Label each box with its contents and destination room.

  • Arrange address changes with relevant organisations and suppliers.

  • Make arrangements for children and pets to stay safely away from loading areas.

  • Discuss any changes to your inventory or moving arrangements with us.

The day before

  • Finish the packing you have agreed to complete.

On moving day

  • Keep children and pets away from the vehicle and lifting areas.

  • Take meter readings and photographs where appropriate.

  • Check the old property before handing over the keys.

  • Tell us promptly if access to your new home is delayed.

What to keep in your essentials bag

Think about what you will want before you have unpacked:

  • Medicines and personal care items.

  • Phone chargers.

  • Important documents and keys.

  • A change of clothes.

  • Drinks, snacks and basic kitchen items.

  • Toilet paper and a hand towel.

  • Children’s comfort items and pet essentials.

Keep this bag with you so it is easy to find when you arrive.
